At least 100 people were killed and thousands rendered homeless as heavy rains left a trail of destruction in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, will undertake an aerial survey of the affected districts on Saturday. He asked the officials to take up relief measures on war footing and assist the Railways in helping the stranded passengers at various places. (more…)

New Delhi, Aug 04: Delhi government on Friday banned the sale of soft drinks in schools in the Capital. Many political parties yesterday sought a ban on the sale and production of colas in the country following studies showing the presence of pesticide in them. (more…)
