hi sachin. thanx for your post here. i would like to remind you that there r two type of SU-DO-KU games, one that is written SU-DO-KU and other is written SU-DOKU. They both r pronounced differently. one of them is chinese while other is japanese game. So plz correct u.

Well Nitin, Sachin Gangwar was right. Sudoku is a Japanese game and not Chinese. The origins of Sudoku is known to be from Japan and not China, though Sudoku was adapted in different countries as different games.
The name “Sudoku” is the Japanese abbreviation of a longer phrase, “Suuji wa dokushin ni kagiru”, meaning “the digits must remain single”. It is a trademark of puzzle publisher Nikoli Co. Ltd. in Japan.
